P arker-Rhoden Funeral Home is located in the historical section of the City of Walterboro. Designed by architect John Truluck, it was constructed in 1948, and has since undergone three major renovations.

With over 12,000 square feet of space, this facility is equipped to handle the needs of any family. The facility includes two business offices, a children's room, an arrangement/conference room, and a casket selection room. Additionally, the spacious building includes three visitation rooms, and two large gathering areas adjacent to these rooms. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home also boasts one of the largest, and most beautiful chapels in the lowcountry, if not the state. With a seating capacity of over 300, and room for an additional 150 in the adjoining areas, many families choose to hold services here, instead of at other locations. The size of the chapel is not its only feature. It was created with solid pine rafters and trusses to match the fixed pews. A large organ, complimented with a building-wide PA/Sound System ensures adequate projection and recording of all services. An adjacent carport, with room for 12 vehicles, helps the family remains dry and comfortable in inclement weather. The upstairs includes three large storage areas, an 1100 sq/ft. living area, and the embalming facilities.
