WALTERBORO: Louis "Loui" DeLong, died Sunday at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. He was 68.

"Loui" was born July 1, 1944 in Colleton County, a son of the late Charlie and Dahlia Kinard DeLong. He was a former heavy equipment operator with the Edisto Lumber Co. and the White and Dwyar Lumber Co. He had attended Doctors Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed music and fishing.

He is survived by a son, Steven DeLonge of Alamo, GA, and by a daughter Melissa Couch of Guyton, GA. There is a sister, Helen Breland Givens of Walterboro, and a step-sister, Rosemary "Bunny" White of Hendersonville. Four grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the graveside in Doctors Creek Baptist Church, directed by Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home.
