Bobby Warren Strickland

RUFFIN: Mr. Bobby W. "Bob" Strickland died Tuesday at Oakwood Health Care Center. He was 76.

Mr. Strickland was born March 2, 1936 in Colleton County, a son of the late David Newton Strickland and Bennie Mae Chassereau Strickland. He worked with his father and brother on the family farm throughout his life and was a member of Ruffin Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a brother, Bud Strickland and wife Jean of Ruffin, and by a sister, Sue Myrick and husband Buddy of Allendale. There are two nephews, Dave Strickland (Rita) and Louie Heinemann, and a niece, Susan Brewer (Billy).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in Doctors Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home and memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
