RIDGEVILLE: Mrs. Joyce Ann Spell Turner, wife of John R. Turner, died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital. She was 68.

Mrs. Spell was born Oct. 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Elliott Monroe Spell and Louise Potter Spell. She was a former teacher's aide, secretary and homemaker. Mrs. Turner was a lifelong member of Cottageville Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Randy Turner (Sallie) of Walterboro, and daughters Rhonda Franzen (Robert) of Florida and Tammy Lee Grow (Neil) of Walterboro. There is a brother, Thomas Spell of Tenn., six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Fox Cemetery.
