WALTERBORO:     Mrs. Altha Stanley O'Quinn passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, November 16, 2025 under hospice care, with her four daughters by her side.  She was 87.

Mrs. O'Quinn was born in Colleton County November 23, 1937 a daughter of the late Manley Stanley and the late Mattie Shephard Stanley.  For many years, she was employed by the Walterboro Dress Factory, but was perhaps best known as the manager of the Western Sizzlin Steakhouse in Walterboro.  She was a member of Academy Road Baptist Church, but had also attended the First Baptist Church of Walterboro.  She was a devout Christian woman who never missed a chance to share her faith, and she was a devoted mother and grandmother.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Homer O'Quinn, by her second husband Donald Lake, and by eight brothers and sisters.

In addition to her husband Jim Easterlin, she is survived by her daughters Debbie Lemacks (Gerald), June Gooding (John), Charlene Lemacks (Wendell), and Wanda Cummings (Scot).  There are ten grandchildren:  Jeremy Lemacks (Cathy), Katrina Drew (Jesse), Andrea Johnson (Jordan), Zachary Gooding (Mandy), Bryan Lemacks (Emily), Gator Lemacks (Victoria), Chance Palmer, Dani Caldwell, Clay Crosby, Bryce Schuman (Lance), and Courtney Freeman (Steven).  She leaves behind her sister Frances Pendarvis and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt love and appreciation to Agape Hospice for the excellent care and support they provided during the illness and passing of Mrs. O'Quinn.  The service they provided was exceptional.

The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Wednesday evening, November 19, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 at Parker-Rhoden Funeral home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.  Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 at Great Swamp Baptist Church, with a private family committal immediately following.
