RUFFIN: Angela Dawn Smith Ackerman entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her residence.  She was 41.

Angela worked for many years in accounting and tax preparation.  She will be remembered for her love of God, children and family.  She enjoyed life to the fullest and had the ability to make you laugh when you wanted to cry and turn anything negative into a positive.

She is survived by her parents, Columbus and Bridgett Thomas Smith Dewitt of Bluffton; daughters Mary Caitlyn Stanfill of Bluffton and Morgan Elizabeth Stanfill of Walterboro; a grandson Donovan Jabrell Sanders of Walterboro; a sister Jamie Utsey Hunt and husband Duncan of Ridgeland; a nephew Colton Duncan Hunt of Ridgeland; maternal grandmother Mary Thomas of Ruffin and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Angela was preceded in death by her father Nickie DeWayne Smith; paternal grandparents Harry and Lizzie Smith and maternal grandfather Harold Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
