WALTERBORO :    Barbara Lanigan Catterton, wife of the late Lewis Jack Catterton Sr., passed away Friday morning, December 3, 2021 under hospice care, with her son Louie and her daughter-in-law Liza by her side.  She was 76.

Barbara was born in Colleton County September 26, 1945 a daughter of the late Julian Hoyt Lanigan and Reba Beach Lanigan.  She was a well-known retired business owner in Walterboro, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Her grandsons were the joy of her life, and they affectionately called her "Doe Doe".  She will truly be missed.

Barbara is survived by her son Louie Catterton and his wife Liza, and by her grandsons Grayson, Walker, Sawyer and Hogan Catterton.  She leaves behind a sister, Nancy Miller.  in addition to her parents, and her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by three siblings:  Patricia Lanigan Utsey, Julian Albert Lanigan, and William "Bill" Lanigan.

Funeral services will be held privately at a later date.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
