WALTERBORO : Mrs. Barbara Lott Walters, wife of the late Fred P. Walters Jr., passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Life Care Center of Charleston. She was 87.
Barbara was born in Mount Pleasant December 26, 1932 a daughter of the late Travis Walter Lott and Valarie Seigler Lott. She was a graduate of Summerville High School and the Walterboro School of Nursing. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Colleton Medical Center until her retirement. Barbara was a member of Bedon Baptist Church, where she had been active until her health declined. She possessed a cheerful and loving personality, and always brightened any event with her presence. She was devoted to the well-being and care of animals, and she will truly be missed.
She is survived by two nephews, Kenneth W. Lott Jr. of Goose Creek, and Lester T. Lott of Summerville. She also has one niece, Roxanne Lott Cattles of Charleston Heights.
In lieu of the situation that currently exists in the nation with the coronavirus pandemic, the family will hold a private graveside service at Live Oak Cemetery in Walterboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Frances R. Willis SPCA (Dorchester Paws), 136 Four Paws Lane, Summerville, SC 29483. Parker-Rhoden Funeral home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
