WALTERBORO: Bebe Daniels Kemp passed away Wednesday May 27, 2015 at the Agape Senior Living Center in West Columbia, SC. She was 83.
Bebe was born July 4, 1931 in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late J. Earle Daniels and Clara Prosser Daniels. She moved to Walterboro with her parents when her father became the manager of the Winn-Dixie Grocery Store and later graduated from Walterboro High School. She was a lifelong member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro, and retired from the South Carolina Probation and Parole Board. Bebe's greatest joy was spending time at Edisto Beach with her family, which she did for many years.
She is survived by her children, Toni K. Cave and her husband Bob of Columbia, and Eugene L. "Lyn" Kemp, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Greenville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana: Laura Gault and husband Joey of Greenville, and Whitney Kemp of Greenville. She was predeceased by a grandson Patrick Cave of Columbia. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Logan Holcome, Lawson Gault, Jaxson Gault, Brycen Riddle, Arista Couture and Layton Cave. Bebe also leaves behind a sister, Clarice D. Riddle (Rusty) of Walterboro. She was predeceased by a sister, Dianne D. Cone.
A memorial service will be held at the Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home at 2:00 Monday afternoon June 1, 2015. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro.
