JACKSONBORO: Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" McMillan Drew, wife of the late Sylvester "tootsie" Drew,  passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Colleton Courtyard in Walterboro, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 87.

Mrs. Drew was born in Jacksonboro,  November 10, 1931, a daughter of the late Joe Leon McMillan and Julia Elizabeth Connelly McMillan.  She was a former member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Hendersonville, and was a current member of the Jacksonboro Baptist Church.  In years past, she was a well-known employee  at Toomer's Resturant in Jacksonboro.  Her greatest accomplishment however, was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children:   S. G. "Scooter" Drew, Jr. (Debra) of Jacksonboro,  Beth Drew Hudson of Walterboro, and Ann Drew Mays (Rick) of  Augusta, GA.  There are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Blasius and a son-in-law, Greg Hudson.  She is also survived by her devoted caregivers, Henrietta Lewis, Agnes Frazier and Teresa Schmidt.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Colleton Courtyard and intrepid Hospice for the excellent care they gave to Mrs. Drew during her final days.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 12:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Stokes Cemetery at Hendersonville.  The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 that morning.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Salem United Methodist Church or to the Jacksonboro Baptist Church, c/o Hope Warren, 114 Wysteria Road, Greenpond, SC  29446.
