WALTERBORO: Mrs. Brenda Sue Benton, wife of Allen Jerome Benton, passed away Sunday at the Colleton Medical Center. She was 56.

Mrs. Benton was born November 25, 1959 in Florida, a daughter of the late Robert C. White and Toy Lee Hegwood White. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to sing with her family and prepare wonderful meals for all of their gatherings.

In addition to her husband of 36 years, she is survived by her children: Allen J. Benton Jr., Robert L. Benton, Priscilla Ann Benton Fletcher, and James Curtis Benton, all of Walterboro. She has five siblings: Buddy White, Thomas White, Frederick White, Carol Camalo and Tina Harley. There are twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
