Obituary

GREEN POND: Candice Kaye Rhoades, daughter of Harold "Porky" Rhoades and Dolores Miller Rhoades, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 65.

Candice was born January 22, 1950 in Jacksonville, IL. She worked for Colleton County for 20 years, having been employed in the Probate Court office, the Magistrate's office and the Tax Assessors office. She was a NASCAR fan and attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Ritter. Candice was a devoted mother, grandmother, and daughter and was affectionately known as "Mi Mi" to her grandchildren.

In addition to her her parents of Walterboro, she is survived by two daughters, Amy Lynn Wood (Richie) of Green Pond, and Beth Ann Pellum (Shannon) of Ritter. There are three grandchildren: Braden Wood, Conner Pellum and Makenzie Pellum. Candice has two uncles, Byron Miller of Auburn, WA and Steven Miller of Madison, GA, and a special cousin, Jody Eilman of Bath, IL. She also leaves behind Carl Ward, her faithful companion and caregiver, and Kenny Savage, a loving and devoted friend.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday September 26, 2015 in the chapel of the Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to either the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, c/o Bonnie Ramsey, 169 Saratoga Lane, Walterboro, SC 29488 or to Hospice of Charleston, 4979 Lacrosse Rd., Suite 200, North Charleston, SC 29406.
