WALTERBORO :     Mrs. Carla Marie Leese, wife of Ryan Leese, passed away Thursday evening, June 10, 2021 at her home in Walterboro with her husband by her side, after courageously fighting a three and a half year battle with primary progressive multiple sclerosis.  She was 48.

Carla was born on New Year's Day in 1973, a daughter of Russell "Sonny" Bennett and the late Susan S. Bennett Lighthorse.  Before her illness affected her, she loved to cook and take care of her family and friends.  She was the rock of her family, and will be greatly missed.

In addition to the love of her life Ryan, and her father, she is survived by a brother Joshua Bennett, and by her mother-in-law Janet Kifer.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
