CONWAY:     Charles Benjamin "Chuckie" Mangum Jr. passed away Monday morning, January 29, 2024 in Conway.  He was 55.

Chuckie was born in Walterboro November 18, 1968.  He graduated from Walterboro High School and attended Charleston Southern University.  He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro, and loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and drawing.  Chuckie was a loving father, son and friend.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Hunter Mangum of East Flat Rock, NC, by his mother, Marsha Pellum Jordan (Mark) of Charleston, and by his father, Charles Benjamin "Charlie" Mangum Sr. (Darlene) of Walterboro.  He also leaves behind his half-brothers Mark Rickman Jordan II of Charleston, David Harold-Logan Jordan of Columbia, and Matthew Benjamin Mangum (Jontue) of Fort Bragg, NC, as well as his step-sister Julie Kubik of Islandton.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eunice Herndon Pellum and Harry Clinton Pellum, and by his paternal grandparents, Inglis Parks "I.P" Mangum and Trudie Herndon Mangum.

A celebration of Chuckie's life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
