WALTERBORO :     Mrs. Colleen Breland Bryan, wife of the late Richey Dewey Bryan, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Trident Medical Center.  She was 93.

Mrs. Bryan was born in Colleton County June 11, 1929 a daughter of the late Louis Dixon Breland and Nellie Hudson Breland.  She was a homemaker and was a member of Doctor's Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and served as Sunday School Class Treasurer.  Mrs. Bryan enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her yard and gardening, was an avid reader, and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Kay Bryan Sanders and her husband Miles of Walterboro, by her grandson Bryan McBride Sanders and his fiance Kayla Benford,and her son Rhett, and by her granddaughter Allison Sanders Morgan and her husband Forrest.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings:  Willie Haskell Breland, Laurie Breland, Roberta Blitch, Stella Brown, and Esther Williamson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Doctor's Creek Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doctor's Creek Baptist Church. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
