WALTERBORO :     Mr. Edwin H. "Crow" Werts passed away Monday afternoon, November 7, 2022 under hospice care with his family by his side.  He was 74.

Mr. Werts was born September 21, 1948 a son of the late Robert Werts and the late Grace Cummings Wilson.  He worked for many years with Aspen Tree Company.  He loved to hunt, fish and go camping with his family, and he was a devoted father and grandfather.

Mr. Werts is survived by his children:  Becky Poland, Robert "Buddy" Werts, Shawn Werts (Michelle Smyly), and Roxy DuPree (Larry).  He leaves behind a step-daughter Crystal Tilley, and eight grandchildren:  George Poland, Jessica and Desiree Lyons, Breanna Werts, Rodrick and Destiney Weber, and Breanna and Shannon Dupree.  He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Poland and Kaylyn Richardson, as well as by a special aunt, Louise Cummings.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Lennon Lee Poland, and by a granddaughter, Nevaeh.

Graveside services will be held Saturday morning, November 12, 2022 at 11:00 at the Carter's Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
