YEMASSEE: Jim Davey "David" Lane Jr., an employee of Marie Lane Painting Inc., passed away Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Walterboro. He was 50.
Mr. Lane was born July 18, 1966 in Walterboro, a son of the late Jim D. Lane Sr. and Diane Adams Lane. He was a member of the Great Swamp Baptist Church, and was an outgoing and friendly man who dearly loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children: Jim Lane III, Ethan Lane, and Morgan Lane, all of Ridgeville. He has two sisters, Marie Lane of Ridgeville, and Tammy Lane of Yemassee. He leaves behind his loving aunts and uncles: Ruth and Alton Crosby, June and Harvey Carson, Karen and Ray Minnis, Judy and Donnie Crosby and Grace and Bobby Reeder. He has two nieces and one nephew: Porscha Lane, Savannah Lane and Clayton Lane. He also leaves behind loving cousins, and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial will in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Friday at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
