WALTERBORO: Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Barrineau Williams, wife of the late Brooks C. Williams, passed away Sunday morning, May 4, 2025 at MUSC in Charleston. She was 73.
Debbie was born in Walterboro April 24, 1952 a daughter of the late James Gordon Barrineau and the late Ramona Nettles Barrineau. She was a graduate of Walterboro High School, and for many years was the owner and operator of Marvin's Flower Hut near Live Oak Cemetery. She was known throughout the area for her beautiful and creative floral designs that graced many weddings and funerals. Debbie was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church, and she was an excellent cook. She loved to bake cakes, go on shopping trips, and spend time at Edisto Beach. More than anything however, Debbie enjoyed being a faithful wife and a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Mandy Williams of Walterboro, and Scot Williams (Keri) of Simpsonville. There are seven grandchildren: Gage, Cannon, and Blake Marvin, Saige Lupton, Braden Cook, and Landon and Reese Williams. She leaves behind her great-grandchildren Chandler and Drew Lupton, and her brother, James Barrineau (Teresa).
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, May 7, 2025 at 1:00 at Great Swamp Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 in the church sanctuary. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
