COTTAGEVILLE: Donald Joseph "Joe" Williams passed away unexpectedly Sunday in Memphis, TN. He was 29.

Joe was born in Charleston August 26, 1986 a son of Nina Ackerman Williams and Donald W. Williams Jr. He was a 2004 graduate of Colleton Prep Academy, and was a 2010 graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he received a B.S. Degree in Business Management. He was a shipping supervisor with Dayco, Inc. in Walterboro before being transferred to their plant in Memphis, TN. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, he was a great golfer, and he was an excellent cook and "Grillmaster". He was a devoted fan of the Carolina Gamecocks, he possessed an infectious smile, and he was a loving son, brother and grandson.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Danielle Williams, and by his half-sister Katlynn Adams. He leaves behind his maternal grandfather Joe Ben Ackerman, and his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Donald W. Williams Sr. There are also a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.


Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Cottageville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
