Obituary

WALTERBORO: Dorothy Craven Crosby Choynacki, widow of the late Frampton C. Crosby and the late Marvin Edward Choynacki, died Monday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 95.

Mrs. Choynacki was born in Walterboro May 13, 1920 a daughter of the late Lemuel Craven and Neta Craven Craven. She was a former housemother for the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, and was the oldest member of Bethel Baptist Church in Walterboro, where she taught Sunday School and was the church clerk.

She is survived by her daughters Ione Fennell and Mary L. Zeigler (Ray) of Walterboro. She has one sister, Vera Harrison, twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her late husbands, she was preceded in death by her sons, Lemuel C. Crosby and Thomas F. Crosby.


Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in the Bethel Baptist Church, with burial following in the Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Bethel Baptist Church sanctuary Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
