WALTERBORO: Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Crews Haskell went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 23, 2026 after suffering a long battle with dementia.
She was born in Varnville, SC on March 30, 1937 to parents Clifford Crews and Addie Gould Crews. She was the third of five children, and was preceded in death by all of her siblings. Mrs. Haskell was also pre-deceased by her husband of 38 years, Scott Haskell, by her daughter Pam Clifton Mixson, and by the father of her children Gordon Clifton.
She leaves behind a son and two daughters, Dianne Tomberlin (Mike) of Forsyth, GA, Donald Clifton Jr. of Macon, and Jewel Napier of Charleston. There are six grandchildren: Michael Grooms, Chelsea Youmans (L.J. and Lyla), Ashlyn Clifton, Reid Clifton (Taylor), Lindsay Napier, and Courtney Napier. There are four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Haskell was a beloved "Aunt Dot" to several nieces and nephews, and "Miss Dottie" to her very special friend Donna. She will be remembered for her strength, courage, and love of family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the services until 12:45, at which time they will travel to the Beaufort National Cemetery for a committal service at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
