Ms. Edna Eugenia Hudson Bunton, 91, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, April 26, 2026, at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House - Agape Care, Summerville, SC.

Born April 8, 1935, in Colleton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Archibald Adam "Archie" Hudson and the late Rosella "Tilla" Jones Hudson. She was married to the late George O. Bunton from 1957 to 1976.

Edna worked as a cashier at the Johns Island Piggly Wiggly, The Angel Oak, and later the Builders First.

Surviving are: her son, James E. Sanders, Jr. (Sandra); her son-in-law, Glenn Thomas Bunnell, Jr.; her granddaughter, Tiffany Lee Connor; her great grandchildren Mikayla Grace Connor and Micah Kaleb Connor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Premal Hudson, and Ansel Gentry Hudson; one sister, Amanda Michel Hudson Clark; sons, Michael J. Bunton and Gerald O. Bunton, and one daughter, Deborah Gail Bunnell.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Wednesday morning, May 6, 2026 at 11:00.
