WALTERBORO :     Erica Kiana Caldwell, a senior at Colleton County High School who was scheduled to graduate in June, passed away Wednesday evening March 28, 2018.  She was 18.

Erica was born in Orlando, Florida October 11, 1999 a daughter of Kamalin Brown.  She was truly blessed to have two men who raised her as their own daughter at separate times during her life, Kevin Baker and Steve Braxton.  She had attended Welch Creek Baptist Church for many years, and she was a devoted daughter and sister who was kind to all she met.  Erica loved spending time at the Edisto River with her friends.

In addition to her mother of Walterboro, she is survived by her siblings:  Miranda and Noah Baker, and Brittany, Lucas, Austin and Mason Braxton.  She leaves behind her maternal grandparents, Tammy Lee Turner Grow (Neil) of Walterboro, James Earl Brown of Orlando, and her boyfriend, Gabriel Davis.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning April 3, 2018 at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro, with burial following in the Fox Cemetery near Cottageville.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
