ROUND O: Ermine Zeigler Jackson, widow of Claude H. Jackson, died Wednesday at the Pruitt Health Care Center in Walterboro. She was 91.
Mrs. Jackson was born November 9, 1925 in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Preston Brooks Zeigler and Eula Byrd Zeigler. She was a member of Maple Cane Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children: Herbert Jackson (Ruby) of Round O, Barbara Carter (Larry) of Lodge, and Frances Ritter (Tommy) of Walterboro. There is a son-in-law, Norman Kennedy, nine grandchildren, Julie Jackson Smyly (Grayson); Stacey Kennedy Painter (John); Vikki Jackson Maggi (Greg); Dawn Kennedy Whitehurst (George); Madison Carter (Melissa); Brian Carter (Danielle); Amy Kennedy Blanton (Jason); Randee Ritter Huey (John); and Patrick Ritter (Cheri), as well as 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
