WALTERBORO: Eugene T. Batts, husband of Climmie Carter Batts, passed away Thursday June 25, 2015. He was 85.

Mr. Batts was born November 6, 1929 in Colquitt County, GA a son of the late Heyward and Levina Swinson Batts. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and also enjoyed fishing and playing the harmonica in church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Christopher Batts and wife Samantha of Sebring, FL, and by a daughter Cecilia Archambault and her husband Dennis of Dover, FL. He has a god daughter Michelle Smith of Wauchula, FL, and a sister Mildred Dempsey of Wauchula, FL; There are seven grandchildren: Emily and Ethan Archambault, Ayla and Tyndall Batts and Emory, Vivian and Christina Smith.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
