ROUND O :     Evelyn Seigler Newcomer passed away Saturday morning, August 21, 2021 at her home in Round O, under hospice care with her devoted son by her side.  She was 86.

Evelyn was born in Walterboro June 17, 1935 a daughter of the late Ezra and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Dunn Seigler.  She was a former employee of the Walterboro Dress Plant and Santee Portland Cement, and was a lifelong member of Bedon Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Edward Delaney, by a grandson Eddie Delaney, and by a sister Jennie Lee Bridge.  There is a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Delaney.

A memorial service will be held Thursday morning, August 26, 2021 at 10:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service, and requests that guests dress casually.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
