ROUND O :     George A. Creswell Jr., husband of Janice Marshall Creswell, passed away Saturday morning April 10, 2021 at the Trident Medical Center in Charleston.  He was 74.

Mr. Creswell was born in Wilmington, Delaware December 1, 1946 a son of the late George A. Creswell Sr. And Beatrice Patricia Mason Creswell.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving for twenty years, and retiring at the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.  Throughout his career he was stationed at ports all over the world, and served on several different ships, most notably the USS Richard L. Page, a Destroyer Escort.  After his service to his country, he worked for another twenty years as a mechanic at BESCO Industries.  Mr. Creswell was a Roman Catholic, and was an active member of The USS Richard L. Page DEG/FFG 5 Crew Members Association. He was a former member of the Rod and Gun Club of Delaware.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Creswell is survived by his sisters Beatrice P. Norvell (Clinton) and Mary D. Moore, both of Delaware.  There are six grandchildren:  Jennifer Murphy, Justine Murphy, Samantha Knapp, Melissa Adkins, Vita Murphy, and Alexandria Murphy.  He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren Zachary Aloysius Knapp and Isabelle Marie Knapp.  There is a host of beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.  Mr. Creswell is also survived by "the brother he never had" Dan Donaldson and wife Cathleen.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, April 14, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.  Burial services, with full military honors, will be held privately, and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
