George (Skip) Norman Bishop of Garner, NC, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his residence. He was 81 years of age.

Skip was the son of the late Norman and Marie Bishop of Walterboro, SC. Born May 26, 1936 in Bamberg, SC, he was a member of the United States Air Force for 22 years and was then a federal employee until his retirement in 1996, when he moved to NC to be near his daughter and her family.

Skip is survived by his wife Daisy Myona Bishop, daughter Sandra Bishop Bowen (Rocky), and grandson Michael Tyler Bowen. He is also survived by two, sisters Marilyn Walker and Barbara Ellis (Richard) and is preceded in death by grandson Daniel George Bowen and brother James Bishop.

A graveside service will be held at Cottageville Cemetery on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the American Heart Association.
