WALTERBORO: Hubert L. "Hubie" Erwin Jr. passed away Sunday at his home in Walterboro. He was 43.

"Hubie" was born July 8, 1973 in Bennettsville, SC a son of Ethel Craven Erwin and Hubert L. Erwin Sr. He was an employee of Carroll Enterprises and was a member of the North Walterboro Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters Cheyenne and Carlie Erwin, and by his brother Daryl Erwin (Erica) of Round O. He also leaves behind the mother of his daughters, Erica Strickland Erwin.


Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 at the North Walterboro Baptist Church, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hubie Erwin Memorial Fund c/o The Bank of Walterboro. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
