WALTERBORO: Mr. Jack W. Davenport, son of the late Pelham Franklin "Frank" Davenport and the late Shirley Jane Dunn Davenport, passed away Monday afternoon, January 20, 2025 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro after a brief illness. He was 66.

Jack formerly worked in the preparation department at J.P. Stevens in Walterboro.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to explore the South Carolina Lowcountry by land and by boat.  His passions were fishing, and searching for Native American, colonial, and confederate military artifacts.  He loved his family fiercely and was a friend to all.

In accordance with his wishes, burial services will be held privately.  A public celebration of his life will be held Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 at Refuge Church, 203 Eddie Chasteen Drive, Walterboro, SC  29488.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
