Florence Leonardi Dews, known to everyone as Jackie, passed away at the Bailey Family Center for Caring in Saint Augustine. 

Jackie was born in Miami, Fla on December 24, 1936 to John and Mary Leonardi. In 1945 they moved to Walterboro where they owned and operated the Travelers Motel on Hwy 15 for over 25 years. Jackie and her mother both were members of the First Baptist Church of Walterboro, where her mother taught Sunday school and they both sang in the choir. Jackie attended Greenbrier College in Lewisburg, WV and Stetson University in Deland, Fla where she majored in Education and Music. After graduating, Jackie went on to become a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for many years before settling down in marriage. While raising two children she taught kindergarten through the fourth grade. After divorcing and with children grown, she became a travel agent and was able to pursue her passion of traveling. She has been around the world and has visited places like China, experienced an African Safari, and cruised the Amazon. She loved to travel, learn new things, and meet new people. 

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Dews Reynolds, and her husband Steve, son Robert Dews and his wife Lisa, three granddaughters, and three great granddaughters. She will be interred next to her mother at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in a private family ceremony.
