WALTERBORO :     Mr. James R. Crosby, husband of the late Shirley Crosby, passed away Thursday evening, September 22, 2022 at The Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg.  He was 76.

Mr. Crosby was born in Colleton County November 14, 1945 a son of the late James Robert Crosby and Janie Hiers Crosby.  For over thirty-four years, he was a front end alignment specialist for Western Auto.  He was also a long distance truck driver, and loved spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing.  Mr. Crosby was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his children:  Stuart Crosby (Krysten), Laura Lynn Crosby Eustace, and Michelle Crosby Call (Harold).  He has seven grandchildren:  Brandon Crosby, Amanda Beach (Marshal), Zoie Crosby (Brandon), Seth Oertli (Ashlyn), Luke Crosby (Ashley), Dustin Call (Amanda), and Aleha Crosby.  He leaves behind ten great-grandchildren:  Ethan and Jayden Beach, Liam Morris, Michael Fraser, Addisea Driggers, Noah Fraser, Jace, Emory and Emmitt Oertli, and Brynnleigh Crosby.  In addition to his wife and his parents, Mr. Crosby was preceded in death by his brother Michael Crosby and by his sister Barbara Hiott.

The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Sunday, October 2, 2022 beginning at 2:00 at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.
