WALTERBORO: James Moody "Bubba" Roberts, husband of Beatrice "Judy" Barton Roberts, passed away Friday afternoon at Trident Medical Center in Charleston. He was 75.

Mr. Roberts was born in Colleton County January 8, 1943 a son of the late Albert and Annie O'Quinn Roberts. He was a retired log truck driver and was a member of Bedon Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Anthony Roberts (Michelle) of Summerville, and Sherry Seigler (Paul) of Walterboro. He has two grandchildren, Breleigh and Hunter Roberts, and two sisters, Lynda Hynley of Goose Creek, and Alberta Fillers of Walterboro. He was preceded in death by his brother Mondel Roberts.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
