WALTERBORO: Mrs. John-Ann Kinsey Williams, wife of the late Victor Kenneth Williams, and formerly of Josie Street in Walterboro, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, November 12, 2024 under hospice care at the age of 92.
John-Ann was born in Cottageville August 1, 1932 a daughter of the late John Edward Kinsey and Olissa Rhode Kinsey. She was a retired employee of the Charleston Army Depot, and was of the Methodist Faith. John-Ann and her late husband Kenneth were avid fans of bluegrass music, and although she never had children of her own, her many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great nephews, considered her to be like a second mother. Her caring personality and her genuine smile will be missed by all who knew her.
John-Ann is survived by a special cousin that she considered a sister, Sarah Smoak, as well as a host of extended family. She also leaves behind her devoted caregivers that tirelessly cared for her over the last three and a half years: Shirley Salley, Kathy Frasier, Edna Buckner, Cherrie VanDyke, and Mary Middleton.
Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon, November 15, 2024 at 2:00 at the Kinsey Cemetery in Round O. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
