CANADYS: John F. “Johnny” Cummings Jr. passed away Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2026 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro after a brief illness. He was 62.

Johnny was born in Richmond, Virginia October 30, 1963. He was a son of the late Claudius Herman Guess and the late Ada Elizabeth “Lib” Cummings Guess. Throughout his life Johnny worked in the construction business and was a former employee of the city market in Charleston. He owned and operated his own handyman business, “Johnny On The Spot”, but his most rewarding job was as a certified mechanic on Harley Davidson Motorcyles. He was a dedicated Harley enthusiast, and loved spending time cruising the open roads with his friends. He was a devoted son and brother who will truly be missed.

He is survived by his sister Amy Elizabeth Guess (David), and by his devoted companion Ruby Harrelson. Johnny leaves behind his loyal canines “Little Bit”, “Whiskey”, and “Harley”. He loved them dearly.
