WALTERBORO :     Mrs. Judy Thomas Cannon passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.  She was 74.

Mrs. Cannon was born in Colleton County June 21, 1947 a daughter of the late Stephen and Helen Keels Thomas.  She retired from Bank of America in Atlanta as the Vice-President of Leasing, and returned to her home in Walterboro.  She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she was a former church secretary, and was active in the women's circle in years past.  She loved gardening, was a master gardener, and was past-president of the Mayfield Garden Club.  Mrs. Cannon was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her sons:  Jimmy Walker, Roger Walker (Vicky), and Wilson Walker (Lisa), all of Walterboro.  There are three grandchildren:  Christopher Walker, Joshua Edwards, and Alexis Walker.  She leaves behind four great-grandchildren, as well as four siblings:  Al Thomas, Steven Thomas Jr., Virginia Bunton, and Margaret Hildebrand.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Danny Cannon, by a brother William Thomas, and by a sister Ann Hutton.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 at Greenpond United Methodist Church near Smoaks.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.
