Mrs. Karen Sloman Johnson, 77, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 after an extended illness.

Mrs. Johnson was born September 30, 1939 in Walterboro, SC, a daughter of the late Wade Hampton Sloman and Marjorie White Sloman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.

She is survived by her husband Dale Murriel Johnson, daughter Jill Marvin Clemmons (Jim) and sons James Sean Marvin (Beth) of York, SC and Kevin Taylor Coats of Columbia, SC. She is also survived by a brother, Wade Hampton Sloman, Jr. of Daufuski Island, SC, and a sister Marguerite Sloman Botkin (AJ) of Mount Solon, VA, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Columbia. Due to the threat of inclement weather, committal services have been re-scheduled for Saturday morning, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM, at the Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Walterboro.
