Kathryn Snead died July 30, 2024, at Colleton County Hospital under hospice care.  She was born in Colleton County on September 19, 1930. The daughter of the late Paul Sloman and Mary Elizabeth White Snead, she spent her youth on Combahee Plantation and graduated from Hendersonville High School.  Kathryn had been a bookkeeper for several local businesses.

Kathryn is survived by her sister, Sarah Anne Dean and six nephews and four nieces.  She also leaves numerous cousins and special friends including a devoted caregiver, Sherrill Sanders.

A graveside gathering will be held at Live Oak Cemetery Sunday August 4th at 10 am.  The family will greet friends at the Cemetery.
