Obituary

WALTERBORO: Victor Kenneth Williams, husband of John-Ann Kinsey Williams, died Wednesday evening at his residence in Walterboro. He was 81.

Mr. Williams was born April 14, 1934 in Fairfax, a son of the late Albert Royser Williams and Mary Jane Harter Williams. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and retired after many years of service from Westinghouse in Hampton. He was an active member of the Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Round O where he was a former Trustee and Chairman of the Administrative Board. Mr. Williams was an avid fan of Clemson University Football, loved bluegrass music, and received great enjoyment and contentment from farming his family property. Although he never had children of his own, he was a true "father figure" to his many nieces and nephews, as well as grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by one sister, Alice Coxwell of Oakfield, GA. He was preceded in death by nine siblings: Jay, Harold, Robbie, Jamie, Charlton, Gordon and Grady Williams, Genelle W. Rich, and Ruby W. Smoak.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Kinsey Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rehoboth United Methodist Church.
