Larry Richard Thomas, 82, of Walterboro, formerly of Newbery, died Monday, June 22, 2026, at his home.

Born on October 4, 1943, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Harry Holmes and Constance Hamilton Thomas. Larry was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was retired from Duke Energy.

He is survived by his daughters, Lauri (Tom) Monts of Walterboro and Lucia Suzanne Thomas of Prosperity; a grandson, Hunter (Cayla) Monts of Cottageville and great-grandchildren, Lathan, Cali and Maverick.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Newberry Memorial Gardens.
