WALTERBORO:     Mr. Laurie Keith O'Cain, a veteran of the United States Army, and a retired dispatcher for the South Carolina Highway Patrol, passed away Friday morning at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.  He was 68.  Mr. O'Cain was born Dec. 26, 1949 in Orangeburg, a son of the late Billy E. O'Cain and Mildred Kittrell.

He is survived by a daughter Jamie, by a stepdaughter Kristen Fraser (Terry), and by a stepson William Bryan (Wendy).  There are two sisters, Mary Harper (Randy), and Betsy Cantley (Hilbert). He has five grandchildren:  Liam, Joseph Bryan, Brittnay Clark, Caitlyn Gaydon and Ashlynn Fraser, and a great grandson, Jaxson Clark.  He was preceded in death by a son Will, and by a brother William Charles O'Cain.

Funeral services, with military honors, will be held Friday, August 10, 2018, at 11:00, AM at the Beaufort National Cemetery.
