ISLANDTON:     Linda Sue Sutton Mills passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, March 4, 2026 at her home in Islandton under hospice care.  She was 86.

Linda Sue was born in Chesterfield, SC June 3, 1939.  She lead a difficult life, unable to hear or speak since the age of five.  However, her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ enabled her to deal with every adversity that came her way.  She possessed a beautiful spirit and a kind heart, and the love she felt for her family and friends was evident to them all.  Linda Sue loved listening to music and rocking on the front porch admiring God's beautiful world.  She spent lots of time with her family, and taught practically every "grandbaby" sign language. She cherished her church, New Hope Christian Church, in Islandton, and she will be missed by all her knew her.

She is survived by her sons Billy and Stephen, and by her adoptive family Audrey Collins Livengood, Candie, Lisa, and Sharon Livengood, Mary L. Barros (Joe), and by her niece Shelly Johnson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by James David Livengood.  There is a host of adoptive nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon beginning at 12:30 at New Hope Christian Church.  The funeral will be held at 2:00, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
