WALTERBORO :    Mrs. Lugie Dale Walling Walker, wife of the late Willie Clifford "W.C." Walker, passed away Tuesday morning, February 22, 2022 at Magnolias of Walterboro.  She was 95.

Mrs. Walker was born in Islandton January 5, 1927 a daughter of the late James Walter Walling and Susan Emma Godley Walling.  Mrs. Walker possessed a strong Christian faith, and this unwavering belief in God and his guidance, enabled her to endure the death of her children Don Michael Walker and Wanda Marlene Walker at a young age, as well as her husband years later.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Walterboro, where she attended the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.  A homemaker for the majority of her life, she enjoyed craft shows, gardening, and spending time in her yard.  She was a devoted wife and mother who will be truly missed by her extended family and friends.

Due to the approaching inclement weather, the funeral scheduled for Thursday, March 10, 2022, has been moved from graveside, to the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro at 11:00 am.  Burial will be held privately at the Live Oak Cemetery.
