LODGE: Maija McMillan Brodie, wife of Albert Douglas "Al" Brodie Sr., passed away at her home in Lodge Thursday morning, March 15, 2018. She was 55.
Maija was born in Bamberg January 18, 1963, a daughter of Mary Key "Millie" McMillan, and the late Richard Oswald "Rick" McMillan. She was a retired Medical Office Assistant, CNA, and Phlebotomist. She was a member of the North Walterboro Baptist Church, and was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Maija…like her father and mother…was an avid Clemson Tigers fan.
In addition to her mother of Lodge, she is survived by a son, Aaron Givens (Jennifer) of Lodge, a daughter Callah Givens Carter (James) of Augusta, and a step-daughter Crystal Brodie of North Charleston. There are two brothers, Steven McMillan (Beth) of St. George, and Keith McMillan (Jennifer) of Lexington. Maija has four grandchildren: Jayla Harper, Bryce Gamble, Ryan Brodie and Alex Brodie. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband Toby Kevin Givens.
Funeral Services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.
