COTTAGEVILLE :    Margaret Ann Youmans Rowe, wife of the late Delmer Ray Rowe Sr., passed away Thursday evening, March 11, 2021 at the White Oak Nursing Center in Lancaster, SC.  She was 86.

Margaret Ann was born November 22, 1934 a daughter of the late George Reeves Youmans and Irma Elizabeth Youmans.  She was military wife and lived in Delaware, Guam, Maine, Florida, and Arkansas, but always considered Cottageville her home. When her husband Delmer retired, they moved back to Cottageville, where Margaret Ann again became active in the Cottageville United Methodist Church and connected with old and new friends.

Margaret Ann enjoyed a variety of crafts and was skilled at sewing and cross-stitch embroidery. She loved to cook for friends and family, who enjoyed her fried chicken, butterbeans, and sour cream pound cakes. She liked being outdoors and often went boating or crabbing with her husband Delmer.

She is survived by daughter Diane Rhoades (Michael) of Waxhaw, NC,  three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Delmer Ray Rowe Jr.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, March 21, 2021 at 2:30 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Cottageville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service, and memorials may be made in her memory to the Cottageville United Methodist Church.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
