HENDERSONVILLE: Martha Louvenia "Vennie" Moore Lyons, wife of the late Haskell Lyons, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 75.

Mrs. Lyons was born Oct. 24, 1941 in Colleton County, a daughter of the late Leroy Moore and Florence Hill Moore. She was a lifelong member of Black Creek Baptist Church, and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved fishing, and was an outstanding Southern cook.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen L. Keegan of Hendersonville, by a sister, Doris M. Hiers of Columbia, by three grandchildren, Amber, Drew and Ronald Keegan, and by a great-grandchild, Kaelee Keegan. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and by her beloved dog Sadie. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jenell M. Crosby.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at Black Creek Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM at the church. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul St., Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
