COTTAGEVILLE :     Mrs. Mary Anne Cone, wife of the late Gene Oliver Cone Sr., passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Presbyterian Home in Summerville.  She was 83.

Mrs. Cone was born in Summerville January 10, 1938 a daughter of the late John William Turner Jr. and Gertrude Willis Turner.  After graduating from Cottageville High School, she then attended Columbia College, before enrolling in the Pharmacy Program at the Medical University of South Carolina, from which she received her degree in 1962.  Mrs. Cone worked as a pharmacist until the birth of her third child, at which time she began helping her husband in his businesses First Equity Investors Corporation and Cone Properties.  She was an active member of Cottageville United Methodist Church, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her three children:  Pamela Anne Dennis and Gene Oliver Cone II (Laurie) of Columbia, and Stephanie C. Fuller (Andrew) of Ridgeville.  There are six grandchildren:  Jane McKenzie Cone, Gene Oliver Cone III, Savannah Fuller Halter, Andrew Corbin Fuller II, Gracyn Turner Fuller, and Luka Alexandra Dennis.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning, January 25, 2021 at 11:00 at the Cottageville United Methodist Church, with burial following in the Cottageville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her memory to either the Cottageville United Methodist Church, or to the Cottageville Cemetery, both at P.O.B. 205, Cottageville, SC  29435.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
