WALTERBORO : Mrs. Mary Morris Watson, wife of the late Jack W. Watson Sr., passed away Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. She was 84.
Mary was born October 10, 1936 a daughter of the late William Parker Morris Sr. And Mary Catherine Hogg Morris She was a Laboratory and Radiologic Technician for Dr. Joseph Flowers and the Walterboro Family Practice for 26 years. After her retirement, she worked part-time as a Phlebotomist for Dr. Robert Thomas. Mary was an active member of Doctor's Creek Baptist Church, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She possessed a caring and outgoing personality that always made visits to the doctor more pleasant and comfortable for her patients. Her laugh was contagious, and her smile reassuring.
She is survived by her children Jack William Watson Jr. (Precia), and Mary Catherine "Sissy" Morris (Ron). There are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother William "Billy" Parker Morris Jr.
Due to the current situation that exists in the nation, state, and county with the coronavirus pandemic, the family will conduct a private graveside service on the family plot at Doctor's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
