WALTERBORO :    Mrs. Mildred W. "Millie" Murray, wife of the late Charles Eugene Murray, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 14, 2022 at The Village of Summerville, formerly the Presbyterian Home.  She was 92.

Mrs. Murray was born and raised in the farming community of Duncan Chapel near St. George, a daughter of the late Dallas and Ethel Pendarvis Weathers.  She was a graduate of Winthrop College, and was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro throughout her entire adult life.  Devoted to her Christian Faith and to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she was active in the United Methodist Women, the church food bank, and many other groups.  She regularly helped with countless other duties of the church, and was always willing to lend a "helping hand" in any way she could.  Her outgoing personality and beautiful smile will truly be missed.

Mrs. Murray is survived by her sons Mike and Doug Murray, as well as her grandchildren Lauren and Dallas (Kristyn) Murray.  She leaves behind a devoted niece, Joy Weathers Westbury, who was her constant and devoted companion and visitor, as well as three nephews, Julian, Dallon and Bruce Weathers.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday afternoon, August 19, 2022 at 2:00 at the Lola Johnston Memorial Chapel of The Village at Summerville, 201 West 9 ^th North Street, Summerville, SC  29483.  Mrs. Murray will be entombed beside her late husband in a private family service at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Walterboro.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 355 Hampton Street, Walterboro, SC  29488.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
