WALTERBORO: Mr. Mondel Julius Roberts, 71, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.

Mr. Roberts was a logger and a mechanic, and he loved working on lawnmowers. He was a member of the Doctors Creek Baptist Church.


He is survived by his siblings: Lyda Hynley of Goose Creek, and Alberta Fillers (Billy) and James Roberts (Judy) of Walterboro. He had a special nephew that he loved very much, Mason Mixon of Summerville, and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Annie O'Quinn Roberts, by two nephews, William Huff and Ernie Huff, and by a niece, June Pierson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Doctors Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
